Eating strawberries can boost long term memory

Researchers at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies discovered that fisetin, a flavonoid which is also found in other fruits and vegetables, stimulates signaling pathways involved in the memory process.

Do not eat dead crabs

Beware of eating dead crabs served in restaurants, which can cause abdominal pain and diarrhea. Crabs will spoil easily and quickly start forming toxins in the body which is not able to get rid of even fully cooked.

Tsim Sha Tsui Gourmet Kitchen Restaurant Prai Penang Malaysia

Tsim Sha Tsui restaurant is at Auto-City, Prai Penang. They serve Hong Kong style western food, noodles, roasted duck and chicken. Whole Peking duck is rm 29, skin is crispy, portion is a bit too small. Overall food is quite good, Hong Kong style milk tea is good. Worth to try.

Spice & Rice Indian restaurant in Penang Malaysia

Spice & Rice is at Georgetown area in Penang, 1 Greenhall. Restaurant is renovated from an old wooden house, so you are able to experience power cut off, on and off while dining. Food is just okay, not too spicy and oily. Main entree around rm18, surprisingly has more bones than meat in mutton and chicken dishes, taste is very close to Nasi Kandar. Atmosphere is toward fine dining, pricey..

Eating vegetables appears to help keep the brain young and may slow the mental decline sometimes associated with growing old. On measures of mental sharpness, older people who ate more than two servings of vegetables daily appeared about five years younger at the end of the six-year study than those who ate few or no vegetables.

Restaurant’s renovation is nice and contemporary with open kitchen concept.
After lunch, you can enjoy afternoon walk in lush garden, play golf or sunbath by the beach. It is a great place for family with children to enjoy on weekends.

Scientists put the cause down to refined cereals triggering a surge in blood sugar and insulin levels, which is thought to fuel cancer cell growth. Opt for wholemeal varieties instead.

C. difficile bacteria found in grounded meat in Canada and U.S.

C. difficile bacteria have been found in a variety of ground and processed meats bought from grocery stores in Canada and the United States. Some samples found with C. difficile spores are ground beef, veal, turkey and pork, pork sausage, chorizo, summer sausage, and liverwurst.
Some of the U.S. meats contained the hypervirulent C. difficile strain responsible for severe outbreaks in hospitals in Quebec, Britain, and parts of the U.S. over the past few years.
In Quebec alone, the so-called epidemic strain is blamed for roughly 2,000 deaths in 2003 and 2004.

Sunday lunch buffet is rm 35, not bad. They serve barbeque meat at your table, like lamb, beef, fish, and chicken. Lamb is the best, very tender. Appetizers, salad and dessert have limited choice. Service is good and waiters are friendly. Overall is good to try.

E.Coli Bacteria found in U.S. ground beef

After E.coli found in spinach originated from California few weeks back, now ground beef is also contaminated.. Jim's Market and Locker Inc. of Harlan, Iowa, produced the ground beef patties and packages Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, and sent it to distributors in Georgia, Iowa, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New York, Texas and Wisconsin, and to one retail establishment in Iowa, said the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service.
