Ginger Has Powerful Healing Effects and Can fight Cancer
A recent University of Michigan study showed that when ginger was added to ovarian cancer cells in the laboratory, it caused the cancer to self destruct.
My favorite ginger recipe for dessert is to blend a big piece of ginger with water in blender. Then boil with brown sugar for 5 mins, add frozen sesame balls to boil for another 5 mins.
To fight common cold or cure running nose, boil slices of ginger with brown sugar in water for 5 mins. Drink at least 3 cups per day.

Hot Dogs May Cause Genetic Mutations
Everyone knows hot dog aren't exactly healthy for you, but in a new study chemists find they may contain DNA-mutating compounds that might boost one's risk for cancer.
Hot dogs are preserved with sodium nitrite, which can help form chemicals known as N-nitroso compounds, most of which cause cancer in lab animals.
Extracts from hot dogs bought from the supermarket, when mixed with nitrites, resulted in what appeared to be these DNA-mutating compounds. When added to Salmonella bacteria, hot dog extracts treated with nitrites doubled to quadrupled their normal DNA mutation levels. Triggering DNA mutations in the gut might boost the risk for colon cancer, the researchers explained.

FDA Warns Against Eating Raw Oysters from Washington State
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has advised against eating raw oysters harvested in Washington state, citing a recent rash of bacteria-caused illnesses that have sickened people on both coasts.
There have been more than 70 reported cases of vibriosis this year in people who ate oysters in Washington, the highest number since 1997, when 58 cases were reported, Health Department spokesman Tim Church said.
In healthy adults, the bacteria can cause diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, headache, fever and chills. The illness can be fatal to those with chronic liver disease or compromised immune systems, but deaths are rare.

If you noticed red beans turn water red immediately after soaking, throw them away. This is due to devious traders coated red color on low graded red beans to make it look fresh and attractive for consumers to buy. Those beans won’t even turn soft after hours of cooking, not to mention added colorants can have potential harm to our body.

Do Not Use Disposable Chopsticks in Restaurants
Soak a pair of disposable chopsticks (usually given to you when you buy pack food from a Chinese take-away) for between 3 to 5 minutes inside hot boiling water. Within minutes and right in front of your eyes, you will noticed that some white colouring matter seems to be dissolved into the hot water from the chopsticks.
What is released from the chopsticks is actually a chemical, a bleaching agent. On a campaign promoting healthy care in Singapore recently, Professor Jackson Mathis reminds people not to use disposable chopsticks, as almost the majority of them are
made in or imported from China. He explained that during the manufacturing process of disposable chop-sticks before the actual production itself, all raw materials are already cover-grown with germs that make the wood materials look like they are coated in multiple colours or are covered with poisonous fungus.
The first process itself is already frightening as the manufacturer starts the process by soaking up the wooden raw materials inside a very big container that is filled with a very toxic and highly poisonous chemical.
